You know that moment at the beach when someone skims a stone perfectly flat and it bounces six times across the water? This is that feeling, in a ball, that you can pack in your beach bag.
The Mavrix Water Skim Ball is specially engineered to bounce and skim across the surface of water — just throw it at a low angle like you’re skimming a stone, and watch it go. It works at the pool, in the sea, at a lake — anywhere with a flat stretch of water and at least two people who’ll spend the rest of the afternoon trying to beat each other’s score.
At 6.5cm in diameter it’s genuinely palm-sized, which means it slips into a bag pocket without taking up meaningful space. It’s made from soft, durable material that’s safe for all ages (suitable for 3+), and the clever bit — it floats. So when it lands, you can always fish it back out without anyone having to go for an unplanned swim.
Black and blue colourway, soft enough to catch comfortably, and robust enough to handle a full summer of competitive use by children and adults who’ve both convinced themselves they’re the better thrower.
Why we stock it: Because not every great holiday product needs to be complicated. This is a £3.99 ball that will genuinely be the thing everyone reaches for at the pool. It earns its space in the bag every single time.
Care: Rinse in fresh water after use in the sea or pool, and leave to dry in the shade. Suitable for ages 3+. Adult supervision recommended for young children near water.
